Live Courses are Back!
I know we made a big deal about creating our “On Demand” courses that you can purchase and access the lectures for at your convenience, but I’ve always believed that the absolute best way to learn is with a live instructor.
Thanks to technological advances, we don’t have to be in the same physical space anymore, but it’s really powerful for students to be able to interact in real time with their instructors.
That personalized experience, the ability to ask direct questions, and the often helpful asides and sidebars are genuinely added value and I believe deepen the understanding of the material being taught.

INTRODUCTION TO COMIC BOOK ART is taught by Jeff Johnson, an industry veteran and popular artist with decades of experience on titles like Spider-Man and Green Lantern. He’s currently working with master writer James Robinson (Star-Man) on their creator-owned book.
Not only is Jeff one heck of an artist, he’s also a real believer in the value of passing on what he has learned over the years and he’s really good at it. We’re really excited to have him teaching Intro to Comic Book Art for the very first time!
INTRODUCTION TO LETTERING COMICS is taught by Sean Rinehart, who like Jeff, is an excellent teacher. He has studied Lettering as a graphic designer, bringing a really artistic approach to lettering, but he also understands the importance of storytelling within the lettering skillset.
Lettering your own comics is one of the easiest ways to save yourself money on your comics. But be careful, bad lettering is also the quickest tell that you’re not ready from prime time–and a course like this can help you get to professional looking lettering quickly!
