ParticipantSome friends explore a cheap new form of entertainment that sets them on a different path than the rest of their pack.
Thanks for the feedback, sorry for the delay. I had food poisoning all weekend.

ParticipantThat sounds awesome. Like Ratatouille meets The Notebook awesome. I really like both of those movies. \m/

ParticipantRebecca, I love that concept. I’m currently writing something where my main organizing character uses psychometry to scout for recruits and other intel.
thank you. As for my 5 pages, mildly funny, but the funny part comes from people thinking it is disturbing. I’m picturing years, and I think I can do it in 5 pages. We’ll see. \m/

ParticipantHello All,
My name is Jon, (really John something, something but I have family drama and avoid my last name).
1. Your background with comics
It all started back in 1980 with Justice League, my favorite character then was Firestorm. I quickly moved from the wholesomeness of DC to Marvel’s more intense characters, but I wasn’t all in, then or ever.
I bought my first GI Joe figure and the comic a few years later, and I loved Larry Hama’s developing storylines and the fictional military setting. Eventually, I was into mid-80s Punisher. As I got older I tried X-Men, but as an ADHD HS dropout, I found them a bit wordy about “the classics” and also it was hard to find a good starting point, thus I would bounce in and out.
In the mid-90s Liefeld era, X-Force brought me back in as I immediately recognized the small, specialized militant force theme.
To this day, I only dabble in comics, and whenever I can, I’ll follow X-Force, Cable, sometimes Ill go back to GI Joe (sorry Paul, I don’t think I’ve read your stuff yet, but it is on the list \m/ )
2. What brought you to this class
Palladium Rifts, Shadowrun rpg’s. Thanks to Larry Hama, and the nature of my style of RPGs, I have been GMing essentially one long campaign since 1991 ish.
The campaign with my friends has been in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian world, of course. The story’s been about a privately funded mercenary group with a rotating cast of cyborgs, mages, and psychics trying to right the world. There is always conflict with small armies, corporate mercenaries, bounty hunters, assassins, mad AI, infiltrators, aliens, guilds, and always gangs, gangs of gangs. With endless settings to scout, survive and fight in… the wasteland, small towns, urban settings, corporate towers, cargo ships, astral planes, on the ocean, Japanese fishing villages, the matrix and on and on. I had a pair of characters in jail for almost two years away from the rest of the party, fighting in the yard, the cells, the basements, isolation, group therapy, and showers, yep.
It has been my mental comic for decades.
3. Your goals for this class
To sharpen my writing skills, and finetune my concepts for whatever print medium I choose in the future.
4. Your favorite comic! Welcome Back, Frank!
