In the last episode of 2022, Andy and Gamal discuss the rise and fall of companies like Mad Cave and AfterShock, the increased competition in comics distribution, the spike in library censorship, and the continuing impact of AI on comics. They also have a special moment of silence at the end of the episode for all the great comic creators we lost.

says:Interesting take about book banning. I don’t means this personally aimed at either host but I find it interesting when people are ok with cancel culture, and making excuses for it why it’s “unsafe” etc. but horrified by book banning. Both are the same and predicated on ideas being bad or dangerous and this should be party agnostic and not just having outrage when it’s YOUR beliefs that are being banned.
I see a lot of outrage when Gender Queer is banned, yet when Mike Baron’s crowdfunding book is banned based on politics, the exact same voices are silent.
